Two Rooms
By Lee Blessing
Directed by Mike Manship

Featuring Patrick French, Lauren Hall, Ryan Petti and Colleen Rua

Lee Blessing's Two Rooms won Time Magazine's "Best Play of 1988" award and continues today to confront the global issue of terrorism from the most honest perspective possible -- the personal.

When Michael Wells, an American professor in Beirut, is taken hostage by an unspecified local faction, his wife Lainie responds by stripping his home office bare of furniture and decorations, creating a space in which she can empathize with him.  In the midst of pressure from the media and the government, Lainie fights to maintain hope for her husband's safe return.

Two Rooms has brought audiences to tears, applause and ultimately, questions.  What is the role of personal sacrifice in light of a greater public need?  Where can we find hope in an increasingly dangerous world?

Two Rooms is produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.
