FEBRUARY 2006

MOSAIC returns!  The SouthCity Theatre Ensemble returns to ImprovBoston for a full 3 month run.  9:30 pm Sundays, February 19 - April 30 (with no show on Easter Sunday).  The show will feature plenty of new material.  Check back soon for updates.

SouthCity Theatre Ensemble performs at November 4 benefit for the Hildenbrand, a non-profit organization combatting local homelessness.

SEPTEMBER 2005

SouthCity Theatre Ensemble performs as part of the Cambridge Arts Festival.  September 18, 2 pm.   Cambridge YMCA.

SouthCity Theatre Ensemble opens a 5-week Sunday night run (9:30 pm) of MOSAIC at ImprovBoston.  


JULY 2005


SouthCity Theatre Ensemble performs a run of new material at ImprovBoston, Wednesdays at 8 pm.  Only $5.


MAY 2005


Friday, May 27, ~ 9 pm: May Day Play Day 2005 begins, opening 24 hours later to a full house.
                                            The show closes SouthCity Theatre's first full mainstage season.

Sunday, May 22: SouthCity Theatre produces for the first time in the Boston Theatre Marathon:
                               Rebecca Saunders' "He Looks Like a Burrito" featuring Dorothy Ahle and Kathy Holland

Sunday, May 22: SouthCity co-founder John Michael Manship's play "The Wilsons" in the Boston Theatre Marathon
                               Devanaughn Theatre produces, directed by Alex Zielke and featuring Brian Quint and Carol Turkoc

DECEMBER 2004

December 11, 2004: The ensemble's second show, "Meet Mr Manley" closes its 9 weekend late-night run at the Devanaughn Theatre.
                                     The show features original work, improvisation and a different guest musician each week.


NOVEMBER 2004

November 11 - 14: SouthCity Theatre begins its first full mainstage season with El Encanto de la Luna, two plays inspired by Lorca's work.


OCTOBER 2004

October 12, 2004: Stuff @ Night magazine lists the upcoming "Meet Mr Manley" in its Editor's Picks for "After 5"

October 16, 2004: The ensemble's "Meet Mr Manley" opens at the Devanaughn Theatre. 

October 30, 2004: The Boston Globe features "Meet Mr Manley" in its Nightlife section.

May 28 - 29, 2004: May Day Play Day 2004

May 2, 9, 16, 23: The SouthCity Theatre Ensemble performs several works from "Responsive Readings" as a special guest to Devanaughn
                              Theatre's Dragonfly Festival of short plays.  Rose Carlson, producing artistic director of Devanaughn Theatre, guest directs.
